Create a workspace

A workspace is one database. Everything you document — its objects, your flows, your notes — lives inside it, kept separate from every other database you track. Start one before anything else. New here? You can try all of this in the sandbox first — it runs in your browser, no account needed.

1. On the dashboard, under Quick Start, click Create Blank Workspace.

2. Give it a Workspace Name — the only required field.

   Name it for the database it represents, like "Production DB", so it is obvious later which one you are looking at.

3. Leave Workspace Type on SQL Server, or pick Freeform if you want to sketch without importing a schema.

4. Choose where it lives: Private workspace (just you) or Team workspace (everyone on your team).

   Start Private to experiment freely — you can publish it to the team later once it is worth sharing.

5. Click Create Workspace. You land on the workspace Overview, ready for a schema.
