Send notifications to Teams or Slack

ZestreaDB can post to one Microsoft Teams or Slack channel: drift alerts automatically when the database moves under a flow, and a one-time announcement when you finish one. You set the webhook once, in Admin.

1. From the Admin section, open Notifications, and paste an incoming-webhook URL from Teams or Slack.

   The platform is inferred from the URL — you don’t pick Teams or Slack, the address says which it is, and an unrecognised URL is refused on the spot.

2. Once connected, schema-drift alerts post to that channel automatically. Optionally also send drift alerts by email to each flow’s owner.

   The channel is the shared signal; the email reaches the one person responsible (see Flow ownership) even if they don’t watch the channel.

3. If a post fails, the last error is shown on the Notifications page.

   A webhook that’s been deleted or rotated fails silently otherwise — the banner is how you learn it stopped working.

4. To announce a finished flow on demand: on the canvas, open the Actions menu and choose Announce. It posts the flow to the channel once and mints a permanent share link so channel readers can open it.

   Announce is manual and one-time — it greys to Announced ✓ afterwards. It’s for editors and above.

Two Teams specifics: messages arrive as the workflow’s Flow bot with no ZestreaDB branding (Slack shows the app name); and a Teams workflow is owned by the person who created it — if they leave the organization it can stop working, so add a co-owner to the workflow.
